This beautiful Italian style ex-voto is a replica of one made in the 1800's. It is an 8 inch tall sacred flaming heart that is surrounded by bold, tall fleur de lis scrolls and halos. Projecting from the base of the flame is a golden crown with cross, in high relief. The ex-voto has an antiqued brushed silver finish; a gorgeous contrast with the golden accents!

The center of the ex-voto is decorated with a brass finish, punched tin "PGR" PGR stands for Per Grazia Ricevuta, which is an Italian phrase that means thanks for prayers received. For hundreds of years, ex-votos have been used as a 'thank you note' to God for receipt of a miracle or an answered prayer. In years past, it was common to fill the church with ex-votos during a wedding, other other event. It's a beautiful display piece for your Santos collection.

Measures approx. 8 inches tall by 6.5 inches wide. A loop is at the top of the ex-voto to hang with your own ribbon or cord.
