48" Santos Cage Doll, Pale Green

She is a beautiful hand painted 48" tall Santos, composed of paper mache (composite) and wood - truly a statement piece! Although her size has earned her the right to stand on the floor or on a short pedestal, this Santos lady would be equally suited on a table, with her unique style of looking downward. Look up in to her eyes just once, and you'll see what we mean!

This Santos Cage Doll has very thoughtful details. Her eyes are set to give the appearance of eyelids on top of eyes. She has a shiny overlay on her brown eyes that make them look like glass, although they are not. Her neck is lifelike and formed with plump chin. Her ears are pierced (earrings not included). She's a pale, pale green, with a tint of gray, and her hair is a 'carved' brownish black. And although not shown, I know she’s going to be gorgeous in a laurel wreath, and holding a bundle of lavender.

She’s tall enough that her cage will hold bibles, relics, birds nest, photos, Milagros, crosses… Lots of possibilities with this beautiful lady.
Although she is tall, she’s rather lightweight* for her size! And, just like antique Santos Dolls, she may have some 'cracks' and 'splits' in paper mache or wood, adding to her 'antique' appearance.

In the second photo you can see her with our small vintage-style French Madonna Santos Crown (the 'medium version' of which would work wonderful). It is not included, but can be purchased separately. She also looks wonderful in the 'medium' silver plated version of this crown (small would also look great), shown in photo 4. Or try her with one of our 'hummingbird' crowns - seen in photo 6!

Photo 5 shows her with the 27" Cream and Taupe Santos Cage Doll, for 'size comparison'. :) Of course, the 27" Santos is not included, and she also does not come with a rosary (see photos 2 & 5).
